#kingdom hearts union x #khux #dwarf woodlands #scenery #my gif #i'll be tagging all my union x posts as 'my gif' but they'll all be pngs due to the lack of access i have to the actual game #i'm only able to work with backgrounds that were provided by people who were able to archive these things #so of course that might limit certain aspects of the visuals. like if there's a separate asset for fire or running water then-#those moving parts wont be present #but that's okay. as long as i can showcase the overall world and its artwork then i'm happy #because the paintings are really well made #they fit union x's simplistic art style while still providing a lot of depth and detail

"Care to join me for a drink?"

Another redraw of my old art. This one got quite a few upgrades/added details as opposed to my usual redraws.

The concept behind the character design was the whole "Snow White's description makes her sound like a vampire" thing (though instead of making Snow White a vampire, I made a vampire based on Snow White). Skin as white as snow, lips as red as roses, ebony black hair- you get the idea.

Old art (made in 2021) below the cut, as well as a version of the drawing without the background/scenery elements!

Finally!! Tentatively finished?!

May tweak it later with fresh eyes like usual, but this was really fun to do! I'll have to do more paintings with clouds and backgrounds. I'm also planning to make this into a bookmark at some point. ♡

This drawing gave me so much pain lmao. The face, the angle, the lighting... nothing worked like I wanted it to (as you can see by the drawing timelapse at the end of the slodeshow 💀💀) and I could probably improve this more if I tried! But we're working with limited braincells here and I need to let go of my perfectionism a lil bit if I want to improve at all sooooo here it is !!!

(Don't get me wrong tho, I am really, really REALLY happy with how this came out, there are just... endless details and improvements one can make, and that you don't notice until it's all uploaded lmao 💀💀 oh well!)

I'm still in shambles over this book. One of the most stunningly written pieces of literature I have ever read. If you haven't yet, please read it! Do keep tissues nearby though as it is not quite a ✨️Fun✨️ time 🥲

#was working on this in the background when i went to london and ooHhHh I'M SO HAPPY WITH HOW IT TURNED OUT!!!!!#i'm still experimenting with doing more painterly stuff in my style but being able to practice via school assignments is always fun!!!!#the purpose of this assignment was to redraw the cover of any piece of media of our choosing with different textures and i chose don #since the scenery is THERE and i wanted to draw him too 🥹#'the hurdy gurdy man' is soooo good very good album (even if 'mellow yellow' is my favorite don album) I STILL LOVE 'THE HURDY GURDY MAN'#favorite song is 'get thy bearings' buuut i have a soft spot for 'as i recall it'#GIVE ME JAZZY/SWING DONOVAN #'get thy bearings' is also a big comfort song for me though #pink pants #i literally lowkey threw a dart at a board with regards to choosing an outfit for him 😔#there aren't a ton of donovan circa 1968 references in good quality aghghh and i wanted something contrasting #WHEEE SO MUCH FUN TO PUT THIS TOGETHER!!#brought my copy of 'the hurdy gurdy man' with me to london just for posterity #funny how most of donovan's albums never relased in the uk WHAT HAPPENED MICKIE.
